Bringing Physics to Life: Building Rafeq

Bringing Physics to Life: Building Rafeq 🛠️

Building Aurix was a turning point for me. It reignited a passion for electronics and hardware that had been on pause for a while, and I've carried every lesson from that experience into the first phase of my newest project: Rafeq.

Unlike its predecessor, Rafeq is a high-stakes balancing act—literally. To achieve stability on just two wheels, I've moved beyond standard hobbyist methods to focus on precision engineering:

Precision Design: I utilized Blender for the chassis design, allowing for meticulous center-of-mass calculations.

The Sensors: Stability is managed by an MPU-6050, a 6-axis IMU that combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer.

The Logic: I'm implementing a PID Controller paired with a Kalman Filter for sensor fusion and noise reduction.

I'm currently deep in the "tuning" phase—that delicate dance of finding the perfect constants to keep Rafeq steady.
